View Full Version : any one unlocked a 2.0 yet?

I bought an iphone from a friend , it had 2.0. After using it as an itouch for 4 weeks since i cant do anything i downgraded to a 1.1.4 and now im set , but not having all the cool APPS and all the other stuff i get from 2.0 makes the phone useless in my eyes. :o
So has anyone unlocked a 2.0 successfully ?

Are you using the 3G or original?
Because I was going to buy my friends 16GB iPhone 3G for $250 and use it as an iPod Touch after she has canceled the contract but then someone told me that the iPhone 3G locks up if the contract is canceled.

i am using an original. And i think that the iphone 3g will lock up if its deactivated. The company i work for says they can unlock 3g iphones . but i have not seen it happen. :rolleyes:

is your phone a 3g or original? guessing its original but the 7.1gig capacity.

I unlocked an original before selling it and getting the 3G :)

I need to upgrade to the 2.0 then unlock it for T-mobile any know where i can get the software and how to do it ?

2.0's been unlocked for a while... heck even 2.0.1 is unlocked.

He has all the software needed to unlock for 2.0.1 with WINDOWS. He used a site that only lets you download one thing every 100 minutes or something. I only downloaded the custom restore from him, but he has a pretty descent walkthrough.
