Stock Iphone earphone plugs on a vmoda with call button?

My vmoda's plug is broke and i'm trying to put on the iphone's stock plug on it, but i ran into alittle problem the wires doesnt match, the iphone's stock wires are more than the vmoda's. Does anyone know the wire codes or have tried this mod before? i really need to get my headphones work..im too broke to buy another vmoda or even a regular iphone's.
