Annoyance... Custom SMS Sound on iPhone?? Possible?

Maybe this has been said before, but i cant find an answer:

I just downloaded iRinger and have a nice little SMS sound taken from Grand Theft Auto 4 i want to use as an sms sound.

When the iringer program exports it to itunes, and i in then put it on the iphone 3g, it only shows up under ringtones, not a sound for SMS messaging.

So what can be done, anything?

Thanks for any insight...

Oh, it's been said before, but it may actually have been close to 24 hours, so...

No, you cannot import custom sounds for anything other than ringtones.
