Do you mean like on the PowerBook 17" & 15" backlighting?

If so you will void your warranty (if still on it) and it wouldn't be easy and knowing laptops they are already very packed inside. Also are the keys transparent?

i can give you the Apple Certified tech manual for the iBook if you like. you can figure out the power with that. i don't suggest it, but whatever floats yer boat i guess. send me a PM if you want it.

hmmm, there was a week ago a post over replacing the keyboard of an Ibook. In that post there was a link to a manufacturer that makes a "split" ergonomic typing keyboard. I believe they also had it with backlighting!

nooo, it wasn't. You could buy the rubber plate with the key buttons on it and on the pics you saw it in an ibook, replacing the normal keyboard. I'll try and find it!

oke, I was wrong, after searching for 15 minutes I finally found the post. And it was just an ergonomic keyboard. Unfortunately no backlight. Sorry for getting your hopes up! The post linked to www.fingerworks.com
I must say, they have pretty cool stuff, but a bit pricy.
