I don't know how big you want your drive but I got this one:

Pretty fast compared to the old one I had inside and pretty cheap too.

A link to the hard drive might have been nice. It is also a 3.5" desktop drive and will not work in your MB. You need 2.5"

Do a search. There is a thread on this subject started every day.

Nothing's wrong with it but kingston does get some bad press at times, if it were me i'd go crucial (http://www.crucial.com/)

Y'all can get an empty one of those external drive cases easily and cheaply enough (firewire preferred for Apple imho, get one that can do both FW and USB if you want to use it with Windows machines too) and use it as an external store. A very good idea to get something like that set up and use with time machine to back up your important data.

Which one of these would work?

Something like this I guess, if you got a 3.5" SATA drive

I don't know that particular model of case so I can't vouch for it one way or another, perhaps someone else can step in with a particular recommendation off that list, but that's the sort of case you'd want.
