Agreed. I am tired of all this hype about these "radical" phones that are all the same ol' story. Cheap stuff.

having played with the android sdk over the past week i think it's a great phone and development platform. but they're going to lack the amount of control that apple exerts which, warts and all, is what makes the iphone experience so much better.

That's also the platform's strength. I'm hoping this is a great platform, as both Microsoft and Palm are screwing up, and Apple's isn't really the same thing.
