hi all, may i just ask u guys some questions. i recently just got a 2G iphone so wanna find out whats the main different between the 2G and the 3G in term of connection speed using WIFI, GPRS and its SYSTEM SPEED? btw whats is EDGE? and 3G iphone dont use it rite?. thanks for sharing =P

First you bought the original iPhone (1st gen) that uses EDGE (2.5G). There is no such thing as a 2G (non EDGE) only iPhone. The original iPhone using 2.x firmware will perform much like the 3G iPhone sans GPS and 3G. The 3G also uses EDGE as a backup when 3G isn't available.

There shouldn't be any difference between the 'system speed' of both models, as they are running the same software, on the same hardware. The only difference would be between edge and 3g speeds.
