Wrong Date in MS Word X

If this has been brought up before, please accept my apologies.

I'm using a student licensed version of Office X, and every time the auto-date feature triggers in Word (ex: when I type "jan," Word should prompt me to auto-type "January 9, 2004") the date is wrong by 2-3 days. I tried to fix this but could not.

It's just a nagging thing, but I appreciate your help.
