So I turned my iphone 3G off overnight, turned it back on this morning and its stuck at the apple loading screen. I cant shut off the phone, and it seems to be frozen on the apple screen.

When I connect the phone via usb, iTunes pops up and i get 0xE800035 error. iPhone is starting to feel pretty warm also.

Should I go to the Apple store and demand a new one, or is there a way to hard reset it.

hold down the HOME and LOCK buttons at the same time for about 15-20seconds until a connect to iTunes logo appears. Then connect to your computer and restore.

all this does is turn the phone on and off and on and off. No connect to itunes message.

You're not holding it down for long enough. Do both at the same time - hold down home and lock. It'll turn off and then after a bit you'll see the Apple logo again.

Problem solved

You have to be connected to Itunes before you hold down Lock and Home, otherwise it just shuts on and off.

If you hold home and the sleep button when connected to itunes you can put the phone into restore mode.

If you just want to reboot it then just hold them both until the apple logo appears - not connected to itunes when you do that!

hi,

im not the most technology friendly person. I have an Ipod Touch and i think it said on ebay that it was jail broken - i do not know what it is, however it was new so i bought it. iTunes has just upgraded it to 2.2.1 and now it comes up with the error message 0xE800035. I have followed all of the other messages however when i reboot it, it comes up with the USB lead picture and the iTunes logo. Has anyone got any ideas? As i cannot charge it up and i cant see it on iTunes.

Thanks
