Hello everyone,

I know there must be a quick fix to this. I can't even use my laptop as it sounds like an airliner about to take off. Just as of yesterday, finder starts going over 100%. I am running the latest of everything, and even with nothing open, as soon as the computer turns on and boots into os x, it starts revving up fans. also, the bottom is starting to melt the fake leather couch its on. I cant even put it on my lap.

Any fixes, i have to sleep the computer this is so loud.

Matt

Any images (JPGs) on your desktop or in a folder on your desktop? This has been known to cause problems in the past.

What happens if you create a new user account? Can you log in with that and see if the finder consumes all the cpu power
