iphone 16gb not 3g, unlocked and jailbroken

hi all, i've just bought an iphone 16gb (not 3g) and had it unlocked and jailbroken to orange uk, its running the 1.1.4 software, can i update it to 2.0 or will this do it damage, reason for asking is t want to install some apps onto it like dynolicious and a couple other cool things.

im new to these phones so any help is appreciated!!
