A fantastic new App was introduced- it lists and shows you (via the Google Maps App) how close you are to your nearest Tim Horton's!

If I was still living in Canada, this would come in handy..... unfortunately, the closest Tim Horton's to me right now is 1648.69 km (1213 miles) away. :(

Anyone want to pick me up a large double double and a honey cruller? I'll buy you some Timbits....... ;)

:D

Unfortunately, I'm just as far away as you; we have to settle for Coffee Bean and Starbucks...

Cool app, though. :)

Coffee Bean is pretty good, but have you ever tried rolling up the rim of a Coffee Bean cup? There's nothing printed under that rim. Nothing!

They are all over the place here in Michigan. This is a great app. I'm a big fan.

unfortunately, here on the east cost - we have dunkin donuts, the absolutely WORSE coffee on the planet.. there are starbucks around now too, but they arent much better, and insanely expensive. I love seattles best. I will take oneof thsoe ANYDAY to Krispy Kreme, DnD, or Starbucks.

Did you know that when we got our first Krispy Kreme here in CT, people from all over the state camped out to get a donut? Retarted. Really.. its not like you cant just walk up to the store and get one now.. they werent going anywhere.

I do wish the Apple Mods would fix this though - there are so many apps in the UK Store that are useless because they are US geo specific. Glad to know Timmy is several thousand miles away...

There aren't even any Dunkin Donuts around here. In fact, there aren't any coffee/donut chain stores anywhere around the Los Angeles area (at least in my area). I thought that was surprising, but I guess everyone here doesn't mind spending $2 for a regular cup of coffee....

I'm pretty happy with Coffee Bean, but I've resorted to buying Red Sea Blend at Whole Foods (which is quite good) and drinking it out of one of my mugs (seen below) to give me the illusion of Tim Hortons. But, alas, I cannot roll up the rim of those ceramic mugs either.

I guess I'll have to make that 20 hour, 1213 mile road trip one of these days to the Tim Horton's drive thru. :D

the first time i went to CA to visit my uncle, i was bored so we decided to go out to get a cup of coffee. We stopped in the nearest gas station to ask where the nearest dunkin donuts was - the guy didnt even KNOW what a dunkin donuts WAS!! i couldnt believe it..

I would rather pay $3 for a cup of good coffee than $1.60 for a cup of coffee that tastes like a sour burp.

I laughed when I first saw that. Being from the Buffalo area Tim Hortons are like gas stations. They are almost on every corner. One large coffee double cream.....$1.65 please.

My Canadian friends talk up Tim Horton's ALL the time. I've already forwarded the info about this app to the iPhone owners among them. But according to them, it's like someone else here already said -- you just have to look up and you'll find one. (Kind of like Starbucks here in NYC).

Alas, there are no Tim's here in the city, so it will be a while before I can try it myself....

As an Englishman in Canada I'm totally sold on the idea that Timmy's are the best doughnuts in the world but their coffee is bloody awful. As someone who drinks black coffee I'm unable to disguise the coffee with the double double element.

According to the app there are three Timmy's on my way home. Tempted.

This reminds me of the reaction to some other product (except for the part about just being able to walk up and get one, that will come soon though!)

It's not up to Apple; they leave it up to the developer in which countries the app will be listed. I like the policy myself. :)
