eMac/iBook

I am a student going to college in September. I thought about it and think that a notebook it best for college. I still haven't switched to apple, but I have been wanting to for two years now. The only thing stoping me is cash. Now I got some and need to know what to get. My orginal plan was the eMac, but now since I will need a notebook, I could just get the iBook now. I could network my PC and the iBook and use my PC as the main HD. Good idea, or will I be sacrificing too many resources and features?

I would go with the iBook. I am a college student, and my iBook is the best computer I have ever owned. Also, it has increased my productivity. If you college offers wireless around campus, esp. in the library, I would say the iBook is a must.
