How would I erase some songs from my Iphone? It's taking up all of my space and just want to erase some. But when I try to like a normal ipod all the songs are grayed out.

Put songs you want on a playlist, or make some Smart Play Lists (i.e. only songs with 3 stars or more, only recently added songs).
Sync only that playlist instead of your library.
You should have actually search the forums or go into iTune's extensive help.

It baffles me that people don't manually manage their music, especially on a 8/16 GB device.
