I tried restarting my MacBook this morning, and it would not boot up. It switched on, but then got stuck on the screen with the apple, or the plain blue screen.

I tried starting it in safe mode but that would not work. I also tried starting it in Verbose mode, but that didn't work either.

I unfortunately do not have my disk with me, and am all the way in Sierra Leone with absolutely no way of getting the disk. Is there any way that I can fix my computer without the disk?

any suggestions? any help would be greatly appreciated! thank you

Without disk not much you can do. Try resetting the PRAM and the SMC.

PRAM:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
SMC:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1411

Did you try booting in single user mode?
