Hi

i got a big problem with convert video files and on youtube.

i have all these

imovie hd 06:apple:
imovie 08:apple:
jvc everio s Gz-MS100 harddrive sd
ffmpegx (convert program)

so i convert the file into h265 and dv and mp4

then i edit it on imovie and saved as mp4

then it upload on youtube and watch it no good picture

my jvc camera gz-ms100 file is .mod

what is good file to convert .mod into then what is the final convert on imovie

Thanks for the link. I basically followed that but still get terrible quality. That link is now 1 year old now, and YouTube now recommends 640x480 and accepts files up to 1GB.

I still get bad results in both resolutions. (Source filmed in DV, and exported in iMovie HD)

I wonder if one reason is I filmed in widescreen and recoding for 4/3 export is messing it up?

jvc gz-ms100 hard drive


i hook up my camera to my mac i open the camera folder


i get .mod files (they not .mp4 or wmv or avi or dv)

i heard that i need to convert it but

i dont know what do but i done everything nothing came clear on youtube

but it came clear to watch it on dvd or computer and on tv no youtube




[ i need to add my movie on youtube so all my friends and fans watch all at this one big time zone so i can get big hits]

I have no idea what file type that is, but apparently your camera has a one touch YouTube upload?

I don't think it's possible to get any better quality with YouTube though. If you want better quality, try Viddler.

Export with the same settings it was shot in.
Also try Vimeo.com.
