Can you zoom in pictures in the Facebook app?

Maybe it's just me imagining things but I could've sworn being able to zoom in pictures in the Facebook app.

I had to reinstall it recently since it would not launch properly anymore and I can no longer zoom in.

Am I imagining things or is my Facebook app broken?
 
The reason I keep thinking I used to be able to do it is because I was too lazy to switch the phone sideways to view landscape photos, so I could simply use 2 fingers to zoom in for those.

And I would also take screenshots of pictures zoomed in to avoid having the comments icon on the bottom right.
