Can't connect to public wifi with login page

I'm having trouble connecting to several public wifi networks. They all have login pages where you have to agree to the terms of use. Those login pages come up automatically in Safari on a computer, but don't do so on the iPhone. Has anyone encountered (and solved) this problem?

I am having the exact same problem except with my university network. It is really annoying!!! Moreover, at random times, it will detect no wireless networks and wont let me connect...and when it is connected, I cant get to the login page....wow this blows!

Can someone:apple: please help out?
