Dell is doing 15% off their storage so Drobo is going for $424.99 + Free Shipping. I guess I am going to go for it Drobo + 2x 500GB 😀

Wow. Nice price. Thanks for the heads up. I've only had my new Drobo a few weeks, but so far I really like it.

That is a good price, I paid $349 for a USB 2.0 Drobo on Amazon (free shipping and tax free here in TX) and just got it today. Since I do not intend to use it as a live drive (used for TimeMachine backup) I thought I rather save some money and buy more disk space!

wait... it's 500 bucks for a hard drive array? it doesn't even come with the drives right?

Just curious, what plug and play hot swappable 4 disk unmanaged RAID solution do you know for cheaper?

Now they make firewire ones too? Still too expensive when considering that at least one HD is not included.

Guess its not meant for everyone! I paid $350 for mine, no HD, and I am very satisfied!
