Would alcohol wipes for the face, work too clean the Macbook, keys, and palm rest area on it? Also could I lightly use it on the trackpad? I have used them on many other things for cleaning purpose. But will it clean the Macbook safely?

I use Pledge Wipes. Does an excellent job for the whole computer (including laptop screens) and does no harm whatsoever.
I was just thinking of something quick and easy to get the light dirt off of it. And I happen too have alcohol wipes so it'd be free for me.
Test it on an inconspicuous spot (inside the battery case?) before you use it on the rest.

Alcohol dries up anything it's used against. Typically not a good choice to use on something that expensive. Use it on glass but not plastic and definitely IMO not on a laptop.
The Pledge wipes are less than 5 bucks a pack and I use them as well.
i had those palm marks on my case and thought they were permanent. but the day before i took my macbook into the apple store i gave it a shine and the palm marks came off. all i used was a wet paper towel...and a lot of scrubbing.

Definitely. It literally takes seconds. I used to use iKlear on my BlackBook, but leaves a build-up eventually. Mr. Clean takes all the dirt off in about 3 seconds.

Do you just use it to remove finger prints and oils?
Or are you just a clean freak and clean the unseeable dirt?
Which is kind of gross now that I think about it. If all that dirt builds up on a white one, it sure can on a black one too. You just can't see it.
