Downgrade to 1.1.4

Hello all,

does anyone know how to downgrade firmware from 2.01 to 1.14 for my iPod touch?

I can't seem to find the original pwn tool, only the 2.XX, which I obviously have.:(

First u have to uninstall itunes an install version 7.5 then put ur ipod in2 DFU mode and select ur 1.1.4 firmware and wait until done ,if u need 2 jailbreak again use iLiberty its easy n user friendly.

I went all the way back to iTunes 7.2 and it wouldn't work-I wonder if my 1.1.4 file is corrupt?

I am trying again with the official Apple Download-not sure I had it before...

you have 2 make sure ur ipod is in dfu mode ,itunes must detect it in recovery mode bt u should not b able 2 c the usb cable and itunes logo.

It definitely:confused: was in DFU mode-I can't get it to restore to 1.1.4-Any other ideas anyone?

I have tried version 7.4.2 of itunes and 1.1.4 firmware and I can't get the darn firmware to install-it unpacks the software-appears to install it, but won't validate it.

Can anyone suggest software or ??? for Mac OS X that will force the 1.1.4 back onto my touch?

Its a no-go-I am getting an error 1604-according to that web site-if this happens, try another PC-since I am using OS-X, that doesn't seem to be an option :)

Would love input from anyone who has successfully downgraded to 1.1.4 from 2.01.

worked fine for me. I got error 1604 when I used recovery mode.

You need to be in DUF with a blank " black screen "

Have you restarted the computer after installing 7.5 or 7.4.x?

Select 1.1.4 from this list: http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/

Download it, then select it in iTunes by holding Shift while clicking the restore button and you can select it.

Yeah I did restart in between the iTunes updates.

I am SURE it was in DFU mode-I had NOTHING on the screen... I am too tired to try it again tonight-will give it another shot tomorrow.:(
