Problem in the top left corner of my interface (Picture Included)

I have the logo "Apper" in the top left corner on the title bar. every time I put it on there the sides of the button show. I want to make it so the sides of the button cannot be seen.

Did you just create a new image that was larger?

If that was supposed to be a button, couldn't you set the button with the "background" of an image, which would replace the entire thing?
