Say I spend 1300 on a macbook right now. What should I expect to sell it for if i keep it in great condition for 2 years after the update?

I just bought a macbook that's two years old for 600.
Though, that's a REALLY good price.

I'd say around $700 plus/minus $50

Don't forget Apple's resale value is dropping like flies.

Depends on how the next design is perceived. It might be seen as a step back by many, and the older generation might keep more resale value.
For example.. the iPod Mini was seen as a better product by many than the scratch happy 1st gen nano.

Not even about the future of apple porducts, there can be an amazing ipod I want to get and it may be proceived as the best ipod apple ever made, but with rising everything costs and people not having extra money to shell out it highly impacts the resell value of our old but goody apple products.
