iTunes Gift Card Problem please help

ITunes:paying with Itunes gift card problem not working
1. Originally i used a credit card to buy songs on itunes
2. My credit card got cancelled recently so the card number and etc was not valid
3. Therefore i bought an itunes gift card, and redeemed the $20 on my itunes accounts
4. THe $20 was redeemed and appeared beside my account name
5. but whenever i try to buy something , it keeps bringing me back to the payment method page, telling me that my credit card is being declined
6. But i have $20 credit!!! WHY cant itunes just take it off there!!!

Because the iTunes store requires you to have a valid CC on file.

ok i just added another valid credit card back on the account n bought something bt it deducted from my credit card, how can i make it to deduct from the itunes gift card code i used to get the $20 credit
