Ok, since i have been lately in the transion to a macbook or ibook, i went to the refurbished center at the online apple store last week, and a refurbished macbook started at $899, now, they start at $849 see here http://store.apple.com/us/product/FB061LL/B, i am not saying it is true or anything, but it could be possible apple wants to get rid of their "old" refurbished macbooks to make room for the new ones? Any one else thinks it is possible? Also, about a moth ago, Refurbished ipod touches started at $249, now they are at $199 some suspicious behavior is definanately behind this!

First off that MB is sold out. Second it's a from 2 generations ago, so that's normal to be a lot cheaper.

And iPod, no idea, it's known to be updated in September…

It's part of the clear out the old stuff cycle. Every time there's a refurb price drop, there are a handful of posts pointing and jumping and calling, "see! see!". Of course new ones are coming out. New ones are ALWAYS coming out.
