I do not because I do not have an reason to use it. What is the point of it actually?
What about you?

I have in the past when there were people on here who took note of when I came and left and bothered me about it...

Fortunately I have found no need for the feature as of yet.

What is invisible mode? Are you referring to private browsing in safari?

I use it almost exclusively. There is a lot of time that I don't wish to be PM'd instantly on a post I make or other such things because while I look through MR a make a post here and there I'm also working on other things on my system.
I think you will find that a lot of the Mods do the same thing. Although I obviously can't confirm that. Mere speculation mind you.:)

Never. No need.
I can not offer tech support, only opinions.

I find it funny that this is a public poll.
Yes, I often use it and I have my reasons.

I used it until Lau told me off about it in a pub a couple of years ago.

I have never had the need to use it, but I can see some scenarios where one might need to use it. And I too find it funny that this is a public poll, I almost wish that public polls were not really an option in most cases, as somebody who uses 'Invisible Mode' would probably not want people to know that they are.
And what is this MacRumours you speak of? :p

I must admit that my anti-social side occasionally requires it of me. But not very often.

Nope. I don't even conceal my real name. I even have published my kids' names online. People are generally much too paranoid about privacy online.

There are two main dialects of English: American and British.
Guess which one I use?
Any ways, I am surprised that five people do not know what Invisible Mode is.

I use it exclusively when it's an option. I'm on and off all the time, and I got into the habit years ago when certain busybodies started making note.

Until you find out how annoying and unsettling it is to be stalked online. I was rather blasé about online privacy until I learned that valuable lesson. I'm certainly not a hermit on the interwebs even still, but it's made me think a bit more about the stuff we put on the net. So yeah, maybe I am a bit paranoid but it's for good reason. There are a lot of twunts out there.

I have but not for any specific reason really. I did it when I was on vacation and forgot to turn it off. I could care less who sees me, documents where I am, or informs me they know what I am up to. I mean as far as MR goes. ;)

Too true. You learn quickly how hard it is to hide on the internet when someone decides to be interested in you...
I like to at least keep my usernames and identities on different sites separate so I can hide on one site and not have to think about hiding on other sites. The Invisible feature can be helpful there.

Why would I need to?
It's not like this is myspace or facebook.

No, since I have no reason for it. I'm glad the option exists though.

Refer back to a post or two above yours and you will find that some people do need it due to unfortunate occurrences.
