carrier setting available??????

I have the old iphone. Unlocked 2.0.. In india. Recently iphone was officially launched in India. Since some days when i connect my iphione to my comp... it asks An update to the carrier settings is available. Would you like to update it.....

What is this.. Should i press yes. I hope it does not lock my phone or somethinhg

NO, NO do not update you will have to jailbreak and unlock again.

I updated the carrier support nothing happend to my phone. its working on now 2.0.1 2G vodafone

i dont no what it updated its functioning asusal. no problems..

I pressed the download and update button and received a message back after it connected to iTunes saying "unable to update your carrier settings"
still remained unlocked, Ist gen iPhone version 2.02
