Slowly getting into flash-photography and bought a sunpak pz40x for my Canon 400d rebel xti a couple of months back. The chord I got for it, is a standard hot-shoe-connecter, and it extends to about 2-3 feet. This is very nice, so I can hold the flash in one hand, and the camera in the other.

Now I am thinking that Remote triggering could be my next move. Could be great to set-up the flash somewhere, and concentrate on the camera.

Is there anyway I dont have do upgrade my flash? Any type of connecters that could make my current flash remote??

Thx, any hlp appreciated

Cactus V2's are a good, cheap way to start out. They aren't nearly as reliable as PocketWizards or Radio Poppers, but they work well enough. I would use those until you feel comfortable, and then if you feel like it, look into higher end brands.

You'll need a transmitter for your camera, and one receiver for each flash you plan to use.
