it says "pairing complete" or something along those lines, then the it beeps. The iPhone is showing that it is paired with source "UConnect" but the bluetooth symbol isnt filled in black, its still grey.

When i make calls it doesn't go through Uconnect, and when i try to make a call directly using Uconnect using th command "call" or "dial" it says phone not available.

ive tried to connect it like 5 times, i tried using different 4 digit password, i even deleted all the phones out of my Uconnect just to avoid any confusion and it still doesn't work

Yup. Happens on most uConnect system post-2007 with the 2.0x FW on either 2G or 3G-- pair but no happiness. Owners with a MyGig radio have been able to download radio FW updates which fixed apple's screw-ups during the 1.x releases.

For a while Apple was blaiming uConnect, saying that their advanced technology was too good for the uConnect hardware. Of course, that was BS, as it was their FW that caused the issue. As or right now, it's kind of like "we know there is an issue. when we feel that you deserve to have your phone work correctly, we'll grace you with the fix".

BTW: I've read that the 2.01 and 2.02 FW updates have fixed bluetooth problems with BMW handsfree systems. As one poster on the Apple support forum said "I guess there are more BMW's in the Apple lot than Chryslers". One a related note, what's the difference between a BMW driver and a porcupine? Porcupines have their pricks on the outside.
