Hey guys, I'm selling an iBook:
iBook 700MHz
- 384 MB Ram (up from 128 stock)
- 20 GB Hard Drive
- Combo Drive (CD/CDR/CDRW/DVD)
- AirPort Card installed
- AppleCare Protection Plan until 07/2005
- InCase Moya Bag (used only once)
I'm asking $900 for everything... that's including the EXTRA RAM (worth $50), the AIRPORT CARD (worth $79), AppleCare (worth $100, regularly $249), and the MOYA BAG (worth $59).
I'll take $800 for just the computer, 128MB stock ram, no airport card and no bag.
Before people start telling me about Apple.com refurb iBook prices.. let me remind you about TAX and about the extras. Also, make me ANY REASONABLE OFFER... let's negotiate something.

You can get an 800mhz ibook from smalldog.com for $949.00, and if you don't live in Vermont then its only shipping
I bought a similar ibook, but no combo drive back 2 months ago for $650.00 + shipping on another board. $900 is a bit much.

thanks for the input ChoMomma, but if you don't like my price, you shouldn't be writing here. it's internet etiquette to not thread crap.
that being said... the 800MHz is a good deal, but doesn't include the Airport card, the extra ram, or the extra several months of warranty. And for someone on a budget, the 100MHz less (which isn't a huge deal) for an Airport card and a few extras isn't a bad deal either. Even without tax you'd be spending close to $1000 to get the airport card, ram, and maybe AppleCare.
ALSO, a small point, but worth mentioning, the 700MHz iBook was the last to use the metallic looking palm rests instead of the white plastic, and also the last to use the "crystal" clear plastics with white painted inside as opposed to the cheaper looking white plastic.
My last point is this... I wrote that anyone could send me any reasonable offer. I'm not a stickler on the price, but I need to post a price point somewhere. And if people want to make me offers, that's welcome.
So, before you go off writing other in other people's threads, think about those things.

any trouble with the logic board, etc?

logic board? no. not that i recall. There was a problem with the combo drive not reading... so I sent it in. When it came back, there were indents in the plastic where they pried it open... so I sent it back and made them replace the plastics. So, the plastics are in PERFECT condition cause they're basically new.
Oh, new battery too.

The 800MHz iBook I'm typing this on has the metallic-looking and crystal plastics. But then again, it was the last to have them, so you were only off by 1.

Ill give you 700- you can keep the case and the Applecare... I think that it's transferable to another machine.
