iPod Deleting Old iPod Firmware-Windows

Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knows where the iPod firmware files reside on Windows XP. I want to delete the old ones from my iPod Nano and iPod Touch as they take up considerable space. Thank You for your much appreciated help!

You have asked how to delete firmware files from XP then speak about how they take up too much room on your Touch and Nano.

i believe he means that the firmware files of his touch and nano are taking up considerable space on his computer
