LOL, they are saying we don't fold with G5's.... How else would anyone explain our increase in the past time! (BTW, still ain't folding with my G5....Apple, give my baby I ordered 5 weeks ago!!)

Our increases started with the Gromacs core before there was a G5 machine available. When the revised version of the Gromacs core was available, all of the machines were contributing more and the G5 was able to contribute with Gromacs work units.

Some high powered machines are definitely helping, but I'd attribute more of the gains to the steady increase in members and the optimizations for the Mac version of the software.
Go team! :)

On the subject of passing a team, has anyone seen the KWSN website? From http://www.katrinashome.com/
From the HP News:
Those Pesky MacRumors are still gaining, but have no fear! We are scheduled to pass team Sudhian Media in February 2006...
Revenge will be sweet :p

Well, it looks like 2008 now for passing....that's way to far in the future to even really worry about taunting them...
I think we need to work on the Knights first - after this past couple days, we've been speeding up and now will pass them the end of the month, a couple weeks earlier than it was last week!

has anyone done tests to see if it folds faster with the proc performance set to "highest" over "automatic"?

If you look further on that page, you will notice that she is speaking of us quite a lot. She adores us! :D
However, we will overtake them, and crush them like the little tin cans they are! :p

Ok, a few questions about Folding: Which of the three Mac OS X clients do I download? The Graphical Client, the Screensaver, or the Text Console?

Use the screensaver only as a last resort--if you feel the graphical and console clients drain too much power.
Use the graphical client if you're afraid of the Terminal application and typing commands.

At the rate we are currently gaining, we may pass them in time for (or on) the 20th Anniversary of the Macintosh. Thats the 24th right?

Of those 3 clients I wouldn't get any of them.
mc68k has made a script to setup Folding in a Pinch!
Its located in the FAQ.
