So basically I need to buy a new laptop for my new job, and after looking around at some crappy wintels at Futureshop, I decided the MBP was the way to go. Just for kicks I went over to Dell's business section and noticed the M2400 Mobile Workstation. It has a free downgrade to XP Pro so it's kind of appealing to me. I will be running mostly Windows programs at work so I'm going to need that installed, but I'd love to be able to use Mac OS at home. Anyways, has any one used a Dell Precision M2400? Is it typical Dell build quality or is it actually half decent (compared to the MBPs anyways)?

if you really need a PC for work, get the Dell and a mac mini for home...?

EDIT it seems you have an iMac already.

So the answer is how much is using windows a must for you?
