Changing Icons in the Dock???

New to Macs and Panther so I might just be missing something here but I can't change the icons in the dock. I have Candybar but there is no "well" to change anything on the dock aside from Trash and Finder. Can anyone help??

You change icons by finding the application file or folder (if you want to change a folder icon), click it once and "get info" on it. Click the icon you want to use and copy it. Then click the icon in the get info window and paste your previously copied icon over it. HTH
