i wanted to know if there is any difference in quality if i would play UT 2004 on a macbook with the Intel GMA X3100.

it is just worrying me a bit due to the fact that the macbook only has a Intel GMA X3100

Yea I play it on my Macbook 2.4GHz 2GB RAM Intel GMA X3100 and it runs great

it is just worrying me a bit due to the fact that the macbook only has a Intel GMA X3100
My understanding is that the X3100 has Shaders 2 (a graphic card feature) support as compared to previous Macbooks. I don't know if UT2004 uses Shaders 2. My point is that your MacBook should be good to go for this and some other games that previous MacBooks could not handle. :)
