AVI files - can't play

Hi. not sure where this should be posted. sorry....

having problems playing a number of avi file i've dowloaded recently. is there any software out there which might help?

I use VLC (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/14738). It works pretty darn well and it's free!

instead of vlc, you can try perian (http://perian.org/). i like opening my videos in quicktime.
