"ripping" rented HD from iTunes

Everyone here has got the art of ripping DVDs & HD down pat but has anyone come up with a way to extend a rental period after you've already activated the movie. Or even copying a rented HD movie? Is this possible at all?

Right after posting my question I thought that, that may be the case; as far as talking about it.

But weather or not you know of how to achieve that, vhs aside, does that possibility exist or not really? Or just scam programs that say they can?

I believe that you can extend the rental by another 48 hours by paying the rental fee again. These forums are not for assistance with piracy.
