How to fully unlock the 3G iPhone (not just jailbreak)?

Hello,

I have recently used Pwnage and it has only jailbroken my 3G iPhone. What program should I download to FULLY UNLOCK my iPhone so I would be able to use it with another carrier?

What version software should I have installed?

Well you can't via software as of yet. However there are some sim cards that advertise they can...

hey,

yeah it is not possible to unlock and iPhone 3G through software, but there are programmed chips sold on the net which unlock the iPhone through hardware? i guess.
