sorry, that version of revolution (IMHO) is one of the weaker tracks on that excellent album. I appreciate the fact that they did quite a bit of re-interpretation but it just didn't do it for me like some of the other thracks. I can't exactly put my finger on exactly why.. maybe lack of proper reverence ;-)
I think it's a fine song, but I think there are better on the album. :-)

I disagree entirely, I think this song is a fantastic cover.
It takes balls to cover a Beatles song, and it especially takes balls to mess with the arrangement so much.
The firt time I heard it I didn't even realize it was a cover until well into the first verses.

Being already quite familiar with Grandaddy's sound from their Software Slump album (and quite a fan) I really enjoyed the way they made this song something entirely a part of their world. Gotta love the funky reverb electro rock stuff.

The one word that comes to mind when thinking of this track is 'twitchy'.
It just doesn't do it for me.
