Get MyLite (free), then set it to Strobe 0.10 sec(s) and stare right into it until you pass out.

I just use my iPod Nano for this. I have it hooked up to external speakers and then I set it to shuffle and set the timer to turn it off in 15 or 30 minutes. Works every time.

go here (http://www.soundersleep.com/), buy the audio tracks, put them on your phone and listen to them as you fall asleep.
No voodoo here, just the age old trick of bringing balance to your sympathetic-parasympathetic nervous system. You can learn to fall asleep.

LOL that is very "voodoo" sounds like one of those Obiwan advices... LOL
Just why dont you try to get your TV and Mac out of the bedroom, do some excercise in the morning, go walk in the afternoon... Dont eat that cheese burger at 8pm, get a warm shower in the evening, get in bed and turn lights off? Works for me every time....
maybe I can just get together a few JPEGs and build an App that you guys will buy so I can make some fast cash....

did you read the link? 'cause "excercise" [sic], eating intelligently, and relaxing aren't all that dissimilar from what I'm hinting at.
Jeez, I'm not suggesting NLP hypnotic white noise crap or anything.
Edit: Oh, you're an MD. Well, at least these days there are fMRIs to convince you that a person's use of attention can produce observable, measurable physiological effects. Or you could just have your eyes open.

Yeah, Actually I looked at the link... Sounder Sleep System? Mini-move? Not very science-based stuff there.... The cited study is a basic science paper on Cortex function, this 2 products have no link to the study at all and are not a proven application of the findings in that paper... this product is just some corporate stuff that is founded in pseudo-science, with no factual scientific value at all...
Maybe I am looking in the wrong place... I will be glad to stand corrected if Im wrong....
