cant put music into itunes

so i downloaded a mp3 file on limewire the other day but when i try to drag the file into itunes nothing happens the little + sighn comes up but nothing happens. so i tryed to put the file in to the itunes folder but that didnt do anthing. i also have the new version of itunes if that means any thing

Try adding the file by going to File>Add To Library (Cmd+O) and browsing to the file there. Hope I helped.
