FTP Help!

Well...Im trying to get to my ftp server, I can connect to it I can see all of my files however when I try to add any new files to it an error message comes up saying I am unable to modify the drive. I have full admin rights to the ftp server but I get nothing..could anyone help me.

-Also I'm new to the mac just wondering if anyone could tell me how to open a frontpage web that is on a remote server.

Did you try passive mode?

how do you set this up if you are using a router? i know it has to do with forwarding but that's about it.

Well I'm able to connect to it on my windows machine *shudder* so its not my router, and how do you turn on passive mode?

Are you talking about "Connect to Server..." in the finder? That, for no good reason I'm aware of, is always a read-only situation.
