People may have missed this because it only appeared in the app store a couple of weeks after the "release date", but the app Radarscope is a weather buff's dream. It has zooming scalable radar for each weather site, ability to easily switch radars, and velocity. All they need to do is add looping to make it the perfect on-the-go radar analysis tool.
I want to add that I'm not the developer, just a huge weather buff hoping enough people purchase this to make to make it worth their while to keep developing it.

Looks like a great App, but I wish it weren't $10. I'm not saying it isn't worth it, I just wish it were cheaper.

You are seriously saying that FizzWeather's radar display capabilities are superior to this?

MyWeather - though pricey - is worth it. I've got it on my phone and my wife's phone. Radar is animated, landscape the radar is full screen, zoomable, scalable, AND it puts an orange square at your last 'GPS' location so you can see if its raining with a pinpoint of where you are. These features weren't even apparent to me initially but when I stumbled upon them I realized that this app was worth every penny!

MyWeather is great for radar, but it lacks some of the basics that FizzWeather has such as barometer readings, humidity and weather alerts, pretty basic stuff for a weather app.

I think people are missing the point with RadarScope, it isn't a full featured weather app but rather just an app to view high resolution radar images hence the name so for weather buffs like those with their eyes constantly on the tropics at the moment it is a good on the go tool to have! Like the original poster stated though it would be a lot more useful with some looping.

You can already get radar animation on your iPhone via Safari and you can also already get current temp. and 5-day forecasts. None of this is new.
What you haven't been able to get to this point is Level III radar. If you're serious about weather, you know that access to Level III radar is essential. RadarScope is the only iPhone app so far that offers it. And RadarScope gives you both reflectivity and velocity views, as well as the ability to plot your current position on the map—so you can see where you are relative to the storm.
Sure, it would be great to see some additional features, but RadarScope is without question the most serious weather app available for the iPhone to date.
