Found this to be very racist and blasphemous.
Sale of bills mocking Obama cut off at GOP fair booth (http://www.heraldnet.com/article/20080827/NEWS01/708279862&SearchID=73328637849647)
bills were printed in California and some persons unknown or at-least not reveled were selling them at the county fair near where I live.

What A Bunch Of Morons. I sense satire. --But, the funny part is that this was based off of a McCain ad, which Obama alluded to in saying that they were saying that he didn't look like the rest of the presidents on U.S. currency, and then had McCain come after him for bring "race" into the campaign. Eh. I'd imagine this wouldn't have looked good for the GOP if they didn't hop on it and stomp it out. McCain has been inconsistent, but he's done a lot to keep the campaign in the arena of "respectful disagreement" when it teeters in this dangerous directions.

In a dumb way, I kind of admire that 3 dollar bill. I admire the Photoshopping skills involved. Not bad, not bad.
From the standpoint of satire, that thing flunks miserably, since the only person who would find it funny would be someone dumb enough to believe any of the racist stuff on it.
Works as unintentional self-parody, in the sense of, "Who'd be stupid enough to display their ignorance this way?"

I think all bills should be changed to read "Da Man". :D

Glad the GOP stopped it....bringing our politics a little bit close to being only about the issues.

I meant Mactastic was being satirical of the response of a stereo-typical Obama supporter. I was having trouble seeing it as anything else.
As for the bill. It's interesting in the amount of detail for something so lame, but it would no doubt find those who think its hillarious.
DETAILS:
1. Obamanation Note (Normally "Federal Reserve Note")
2. The Concerned States of America (Normally "United States of A")
3. The Prince of Platitudes (Not on normal bills)
4. 3 dollar bill
5. This Note is BOGUS for all debts public and private (Normally "legal tender" replaces the word "bogus")
6. Teddy Kennedy, Chief of Socialism Advisor
7. Al Sharpton, New Spirutual Advisor
8. "Da Man", instead of a real last name under portrait
9. Portrait features middle eastern head dress
10. Serial Number IBD14UOK ("I Be Dee One For You, Okay?")
11. Camel instead of Federal Reserve Bank notifier
12. Windy City, IL (Normally Washington, DC)
From Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fake_denominations_of_United_States_currency#.243):
Various $3 bills have been released, generally poking fun at politicians or celebrities such as Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, or Hillary Clinton.
In the 1960s, Mad magazine printed a three-dollar bill. On the bill, which had a portrait of Alfred E. Neuman, a line read: "This is not legal tender—nor will tenderizer help it."[1]
Prior to the creation of the Federal Reserve System, individual banks offered their own currencies. The faces on the various currencies were standardized across the country, but designs varied per bank. Several banks issued three dollar bills, with the face of Santa Claus gracing the front of the note. Such banks included Howard Banking Company of Boston, the Central Bank of Troy, the Pittsfield Bank and the White Mountain Bank, and perhaps coincidentally, the St. Nicholas Bank of Manhattan.[2]Seems like a tradition for people to release these things. Here is a link to McCain's attack ad on Obama's "change" called "Seal". In it, Obama is shown on a variety of things from changing the face of the statue of libery, to Mount Rushmore, to the dollar bill.

Here is one of George Bush, based on his damage to the country, and not his politics, race, or smears about his Christianity.

Similar to the Obama bill, its serial number is "B 4UVOTETHINK", a value of "ZERO", and a notation that "This note is not legal tender, it is a joke just like George Bush." It circulated on a website around the end of last year.

The bill recieved over 3600 popularity votes on the site Digg.com.

I found it very funny and I want Obama to win at all costs. No point taking this stuff too seriously, if it's actually funny laugh and move along. If it's not funny laugh anyway and move along.

Just responding the same way some in this forum seem to feel is acceptable... at least when they do it.

Just responding the same way some in this forum seem to feel is acceptable... at least when they do it.That's what I was thinking. It was almost a little "too convincing" though. The capitalization was a dead giveaway though... and the "ZOMG!!". :D
One thing though... Joe Punk, could you do an "Advanced" edit of your post, and update the THREAD TITLE so that it says "Sale" instead of "ale". That's just bugging the bejesus out of me. :)

It's just that satire usually works best when it comments on a truism. Political cartoons which depict Dubya as a low IQ guy are usually funny, because even his defenders know he ain't a terribly bright guy. I can laugh at Hillary being depicted as a shrew, because up to a point it's true. But the references to Ted Kennedy and Al Sharpton, and the camel and the desert hat, speak more to fearmongering than jest.
I did think the "Prince of Platitudes" line was funny.

The GOP was going to hand out tire gauges, but that would have been a good thing, as having the correct tire pressure really does help with gas mileage. The Dems were going to hand out those fake, plastic, keys babies play with to signify McCain's houses. Which would have been good for a goof, but pretty immature. This is ok. At least it isn't the purple band-aids, which kinda pissed me off, and I'm wondering why more people weren't. If the Dems did that about McCain, we'd never hear the end of it. Support the troops... as long as they have an (R) next to their names.
After the speech last week, it's less accurate as Obama has actually put out some specifics, and what with Palin as VP nom, it's harder to push.
