I've searched the forums and I'm surprised I haven't seen any discussion in the forums about this:
Google is releasing the beta version of its own open-source web browser, named Chrome. (http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2008/09/fresh-take-on-browser.html)
They have created a "comic strip (http://blogoscoped.com/google-chrome/)" to describe Chrome in some detail.
Google Inc., owner of the most popular Internet search engine, will offer its own free Web browsing software to challenge Microsoft Corp. (http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=ao3ZA91GZzmQ&refer=home)
If I've missed threads on this, please post links to them.
