keyboard lags after installing DSL

My keyboard is slow (sometimes the mouse even freezes for a second) after installing DSL. I thought it was only when I was online but it happens when I use M/Word. Is there anyone who has a solution? It's driving me nuts!!!

Somebody named bsalsmith already has a thread on this topic, and this member never responded to people responses about removing the DSL software (or whatever crap) was loaded by this other user to make the machine slow.
