It would be nice if MacRumours would be available in more languages.

Wow, I never knew Google had that feature.
Thanks.
Well, it would be nice if MacRumours was in different languages like Yahoo Answers and more "International-like".

I couldn't imagine the forums if that were the case. How many languages would we have the Matte v. Glossy debate in?

Sorry for off-topic, but do you also know Latin?
I guess Latin and Ancient Greek would be equally challenging to learn but not impossible. Even though they are "dead" languages, both can be useful for something especially Latin.

Actually yes, but I am a bit rusty in both of them, my high school offered both in the classics department. And from learning both at the same time, Ancient Greek was easier to learn than Latin.

Yeah, like anyone here has the time to translate every story into all those languages, and then there's the forums.
I wouldn't mind MR in Klingon. :D
I know, they have Klingon, Elmer Fudd, and Bork, Bork, Bork for search pages, but not translations. I was MR-Klingon!!!!
It would be interesting if there was an on the fly translation program that would allow you to participate in your native language on a page/forum translated by Google, and your text would be sent to the site it its language.

Overall, it is not a bad idea to translate the whole MacRumours into different languages.

Out of those languages, I understand a little bit of Spanish.
I also plan on learning Latin fluently and Latin will help me in a lot of things.
I am part Egyptian, part Polish, part Mongolian, part American Indian, part Celtic and part Italian.
Of course some of those are my long-ago ancestors.
I have black hair, dark brown eyes and tan-olive-bronze skin.
I am interested in other languages and I am thinking of becoming an linguist.
I, if have time, plan on learning Ancient Greek after Latin.

Latin translation is not that good though.Versio Latina execrabilis est.
Ancient Greek is a lot of fun, too, but I shouldn't think many ancient Greeks are regular MacRumors readers.
Being an (American) English site, it already is other languages. Latin, Greek, OE, OHG, Spanish (OTL), Norman, Slavic, & on & on. We're hardly original, in that the etymology of nearly every word can be traced off-shore and hundreds or thousands of years back.
The ultimate lingua franca if you will, the first truly global language. The first word in Mutt-speak. :D

You're forgetting the original peoples of the Americas. The names of many animals, plants, streams, mountains, places, town names, states, etc. came from names used by various American Indian tribes. For example, about half of the U.S. states got their names from Indian words.

The only languages which people speak (and dont generally speak English) is Spanish and possibly Japanese, but I don't think many Macs are sold in South America. Japanese is the only one that could be worth doing...
