Gaming with MacRumors... ?

After the Diablo II thread, and the people wanting to get together and play, I thought maybe we should try to get something together.

I know there's Gameranger, but I thought maybe we could organize some play times with a few of the more popular games on here. I'm not really sure how to do this yet, but maybe we could take a poll on what games we would be playing most. Then either exchange messaging service handles, email adresses, gameranger handles, blizzard battle.net accounts, or whatever, and contact eachother that way. Or we could just use this thread to announce times or games to be played. Although I don't know how happy the admins would be with that.

If anyone has any ideas please share 'em. This could work out to be pretty cool, or it could bomb just as well :p Just thought I'd put my idea out there.

I think the first thing we should do is list all of the online MP-compatible games we have, and we can go from there.

As for me:
-Red Faction
-No One Lives Forever
-Diablo II
-Sacrifice
-Diablo
-Starcraft
-Unreal Tournament (Once I get it in the mail.)

...and that's about it. And mind you, my NOLF performance isn't so hot.

I'm on a lot during the weekends, not so much during the week.

Unfortunately (well that depends on how much you like SC), SC is the only game I play, so i won't be able to play with any MR members on any other games.

When I ordered UT a few weeks ago and got the empty box, it was blue. Is that the GOTY edition?

Hopefully I'll get a box with a GAME ACTUALLY IN IT soon.

My goty is red, and the old regular edition I have is blue I think, can't remember for sure. Sucks taht you got screwed at first though :/ Hope you get the right thing indeed.

Take a look! We're currently dedicated on UT2k3, as Tiauguinho said, but we're about to create subdivisions based on other games in the near future.

Currently, we're 29 members, has one main server (dedicated, 143mbps, dual G4, OS X) and several inactive servers. Requirements for joining is; being a Mac user, and have some experience with FPS games. You can be just a part of the team, or you can participate and work for the team in our Pro squad.
