I've a macbookpro and apogee duet and have been using garageband to record an audiobook (1 file=1 chapter). While GB has got me up and running, it's very limited in that I cannot see and edit the entire project at one time, and for many other reasons. I want and need to use something more appropriate for audiobook recording. Has anyone an opinion on what would be the better program for me - Protools or LE ? It needs to be simple, and must work seamlessly with my apogee duet. Feedback much appreciated. Thanks

You could create the whole audiobook in garageband, export, then cut it into sections with a (free) audio editor like Audacity.

Logic would easily handle creating the book, independently bouncing down chapters and working with a timeline. You would also get a lot more tools for handling the voice production.
