If only it weren't vaporware. (http://www.gizmodo.com/archives/open_letter_to_oqo_time_to_put_up_or_shut_up.php)

very nice.
you'd think it would run OS X with all the Apple clips it has in the vid, but then that would be Apple and not OQO causing that. if only they licensed the OS out like 10 years ago...
still, if Apple brought something out comparable to this, i'd buy it in an instant.

Well, it was at CES and available for demo use, that's vaporware solidifying. I'm not sure about the market though.
Supposedly some of its designers worked on the Powerbook design, but that's just an unconfirmed rumor.

See #4 from this Wired article (http://www.wired.com/news/culture/0,1284,57023-2,00.html)
OQO computers will be available for purchase from the OQO web store in the fall of 2004. (http://www.oqo.com/store/)
Don't get me wrong. I like the idea, and if Apple did it I would be drooling.
Just look at the timeline: Originally announced in the spring of 2002…repeated delays…now the say it will ship in the fall of 2004 (2.5 years later).
Let me know when it finally ships and then I might get excited again. I'm not going to hold my breath.

it is from the developers of the TiBook -- I saw it on Tech TV. Looks neat, but wrong OS

A device like this has the potential to be an ultra-portable laptop, an uber-pda and and the ultimate (audio + video) iPod all rolled into one. I sincerely hope Apple does develop something like this, only much better, of course. :)
